Yuksom is my first love and my forever home.
Yuksom has forever changed the way I see the world, which has led to the birth of Feels Like Om, to share the love and wisdom that I have been so generously given by the Yuksom land and community.
This 11-day Feels Like Home journey is the brainchild of me and Elan, my first friend in Yuksom. We designed this journey to offer you a raw, unfiltered experience of Yuksom life, just as the locals live it.
Elan and I in the mountains of West Sikkim
Warm, wood-accented rooms with private ensuite bathrooms
Elan’s family runs the cozy and homely Ejam Residency, which will become your home in Yuksom. Over the course of eleven days, you will settle into a rhythm shaped by the land and the community, where each day unfolds with gentle intention.
At Ejam Residency, meals are a slow, intentional affair. You will taste the love of Sikkimese home-cooking—a hot bowl of thukpa, freshly milked tea in the morning, or the joy of wrapping momo together. Here, food is a love language, a time for bonding, and a heritage passed down through generations.

Let the mountains remind you that everything will be okay
Through a multitude of experiences, you will step into the everyday life of Yuksom’s people—not as a visitor, but as a participant. Joining in their quiet daily rituals will shift the way you see the world.
You will find yourself moving with the flow of the land, learning from those who have lived in balance with it for centuries. Along the way, the mountains will hold space for stillness, the forests will teach you patience, and the community will remind you of the power of connection.
You will spend your days intentionally reconnecting and rediscovering what it means to live in harmony with nature. You will learn to listen—to birds singing, to flowers blooming. You will learn to notice—how people and the land breathe together, how your body responds to their presence, how it feels to live in tranquility.
Practising the art of stillness
“The mountains will hold space for stillness, the forests will teach you patience, and the community will remind you of the power of connection.”
This is a journey for those who crave presence over plans, depth over checklists, and discovery over certainty. If you arrive with curiosity and an open heart, Yuksom will meet you exactly where you are—and leave you forever changed.
Hear from others who have experienced Sikkim. For some, it was their homecoming; for others, it was their first visit, but definitely not their last.
